Gmail - Is your website www.gmail.com offline, or why can't I find it on Yahoo?

You gotta love the emails that tell you that for only a few hundred bucks... they'll get Gmail (apparently now my website) to rank better on Google and Yahoo's search index.

OMG... do people really fall for these idiots?

 

Cool weather here in Vancouver, this is a shot on the 25th of November down Union Street in Vancouver's wonderfull Strathcona (my home) neighbourhood.

Feast your eyes as it's a rare site to see this much snow in Vancouver. Putting up your Christmas lights is more fun then ever too :)

On our way out of Courtney BC, we were given directions to turn onto Dove Creek Road.

Thought this was worth sharing with letterman or something. 

 

My Poor little man with his broken arm! A classic Canadian injury, ice skating. 

OK, so now I'm feeling old.

Not only am I now closing the gap between me and 40... but now...

My daughter had her first sleep over party.

The small but very noisy gathering went off without a hitch... Much screeming, giggling and make over fun was had by all and they all went home tired and cranky the next day as they should after any good party.

Guess I've moved from Rave Parties to Slumber Parties... Not sure if I'm OK with that, but hey... that's life.

Hope you had a good one baby, sure it won't be the last one (groan!)

Trying to quit smoking...

I've tried on and off for several years to quit smoking cigarettes...

While I don't generally smoke anymore day to day, I still do fall off that QUIT SMOKING wagon.

I found a site recently that has all sorts of good information about quitting smoking on it.

I've been reading up on the health aspects a little more to try to get myself more repulsed by the whole smoking thing. I want to be a non smoker, I want to quit smoking for good.

Captain my captain

I found this hat at a film sale that Cannell films was having.

Hats are a great prop to instantly transform the wearer into something new and different.

The fact that they've come in and out of fashion over the centuries is also interesting.

As a "prop" it's a very effective tool for changing your look. As much so as makeup is for women (possibly even more so).

I should have got the officers hat and now that I'm thinking about this, I'm going to make an effort to wear and collect more hats.

I think they'll eventually come back in fashion (I'm not talking about the Van Dutch Ball cap here, I'm talking HATS)
